Would she stop calling already? That was like three times in ten minutes. But then again, it was stuff that she really needed to know and couldn’t wait until Sunday when I get back.. It was nice talking to her the first time, but then when the phone just kept ringing again and again. Lol. She really should have a French-Finnish dictionary instead of asking me all the time. But.. Jaz took the dictionaries with her. shrugs Yeah, so Ma told me that they’re going to see Dad already on Saturday instead of Sunday. Solves my problem. I can go out with Auri tomorrow. ^^ It would be cheaper if I just stayed here until Monday, but I wanna go to the airport to pick up Jaz. And there’s a present in Järvenpää that I wanna give before Christmas gets here.. I won’t say what it is, but when I saw it, I knew immediately that I had to get it for the person that I’m gonna give it to. I don’t usually like orange that much, but this was pretty. ^^

Hmm.. what else.. Oh yeah! I had the strangest dream. It was about me distributing beer cases with this other guy all over a beach town and then being chased by a monster. Suddenly I’m showing off this really pretty red bracelet that I had made from beads and it had a double locking system and the lady wanted to buy it.. Next thing I know, I’m riding down this really dark hill and I have to put the bicycle quickly back indoors and pretend to be asleep on the couch while this Jeep pulls up in the driveway. It was so weird. o.O Then again, all of my dreams are.

Okay, I promised Auri that I’d walk Elli today before I left to meet Krisi in Iso Omena before my shift. So I’d better go eat something.. I wonder if anyone can break a 20 € note into fives or tens?? I need the bus money..

Another day of work behind me. Why do ppl always start forming lines when I’m about to close? So annoying.. There was this lady that stomped up to my register and asked me was I the only that she was dealing with earlier. I probably looked like a deer caught in headlights. I told her that I had just gotten back from my coffee break, so I probably wasn’t the one she was looking for. Then this other kassalady told her that the one she wanted just went on her lunch break. So the lady slams this sign down onto the conveyor belt and starts yelling at this other kassa about how unfairly Prisma treats it’s customers and how the kassalady in question didn’t believe her in the first place and that she wanted to see that she hasn’t been charged twice for the underwear, etc.. But she was polite to me when I rang up the right price for the underwear that she wanted. Another customer of mine was really really picky about the price tag on a CD that he bought as a gift. I asked him (like I usually do from everyone) that does he want it in a sinettipussi and do I take the price tag off. He said yes to both and when I tried peeling it off, I got the price part of it off, but the rest of the sticker was still stuck on the cover. I asked if it bothered him (there was a line forming behind him..) and he said: “I want it all off!”. So there I was.. peeling off every little bit of the price sticker that I could with my just manicured nails for 10 minutes. rolls eyes

I read about this pair of twins that are both pregnant with twins.. They’re predicted to be born on the same day too. o.O Weird.. I wonder what it’d be like having twins.. easier than having triplets I assume. What if all three of them would be crying at the same time? There wouldn’t be enough arms to hold them all at the same time! Unless of course there’s someone else around helping with them. But at least with twins you can handle them by yourself because you’ve got an arm for each. Just gotta hope that they don’t start crawling in different directions at the same time. ^_^;;

I dunno why I’m being told all the time that it’s amazing how I don’t complain about anything when things aren’t going that well for me, while I listen to others complain about things when they’ve got nothing to really complain about. I don’t see it that way. I don’t complain because : a) I have a roof over my head and food to eat b) great friends c) a job d) no one has died and I’m healthy I used to be really picky about what I loaned ppl, but now.. I don’t keep track of my stuff that closely anymore. My priorities have changed. Who cares if I don’t get all of my magazines back? That’s not what’s important anymore. Making sure that there’s enough money to pay the bills is..

Only 11 days to go! Hmm.. it just seems so far away even if it’s not. ;_;

Slept wonderfully last night. I just adore that bed.. and the silence. Well, I did wake up when Auri’s dad came downstairs to work in his office. I forgot to close the second door. But I went back to sleep and didn’t wake up until it was 11:30. I would’ve stayed in bed longer, but my shift starts earlier today. Need to take an earlier bus. Preferably the 5 because it takes me closer to the entrance of the mall. I don’t like walking outside when it’s really windy and rainy and cold. That’s not winter! Winter is supposed to have snow(= Finland) or sunshine(= Florida). Not bloody rain.. Well, I can accept rain during the winter in Belgium and England but not in Finland. NO no no nononnonono.

And I had really nice dreams. I can’t remember what they were about, but I just woke up with a smile on my face. Seems like a good day so far. ^_^

I just realized that I didn’t brush my hair yesterday. I wonder if anyone at work noticed. goes to get hairbrush Yech.. what is this gunk in my hairbrush? No matter how often I clean it, this.. well, gunk forms around the bristles.. Oh.. I’ll ask Alejo if he knows what it is.. Nope, he’s stumped as well. It’s not residue from hairspray or gel or anything like that since I don’t use the stuff. Maybe it’s from shampoo or conditioner?

It’s weird being hit on by the cleaners at Prisma. Whenever my shift ends, I take off my work shirt while I’m walking to the changing room (to save time, duh) and then from behind some corner this one always shows up and gives me this weird smile and says hi. It’s actually a bit creepy. He’s at least 30.. I’m bad at guessing ages, but he looks 30-40..

Auri and I thought that we’d do something on Saturday after my shift, but last night I remembered that the next day is Sunday (genius, isn’t it?) which means that I’m going to go see my dad early in the morning. I don’t think that after 7 hrs of work and staying out late I’ll be able to wake up early on Sunday. So now I gotta decide do I stay over at Auri’s for one more night and not see my dad or do I just go back to Järvenpää straight from work. I think I already know which one I’ll do..

Breakfast/lunch = brunch! (although that’s usually eaten around 11 or so I think o.O) Oh well, I never eat when I’m supposed to anyway. Who cares what it’s called? shrugs

Just as I was trying to open the door so that I could come upstairs, my phone rang again. Extra called! So now I’ve got work for the 21st, 22nd and 23rd I think.. I still need to check from the Net what my shifts were since I didn’t have any paper to write it all down on. Hmm.. I wonder does Jari need me next week. But I think I got evening shifts so I could over to the hotel in the mornings and then work in the evenings. I do want to go to the hotel. Catch up on all the gossip and see Paula before she leaves (she’s switching jobs.. gonna work at the Holiday Inn). She’s the one I get along with the best. Sure Ingela, Heidi and Anja are nice but Paula’s the one I talk to the most.

I’ve begun reading Bridget Jones - Edge Of Reason. It’s been pretty funny so far. I liked the first movie more than the book, but I think that I like the second book more than the movie. I just wish that it’d be in English. It kinda looses it’s feel when it’s trasnlated. Although.. this way my Finnish’ll improve a bit.

Only four more days to go! Can’t wait to see Jazzy. Then it’ll be only eight days until I see Gubby! grin And my ma said that it’s pretty likely that we can go pick him up from the airport. Less walking in the cold and we’ll be in Helsinki earlier. ^_^

Meh.. I don’t like getting up in the mornings. The bed is so nice and warm.. And it’s so cold outside. sniffle But I must. Have work to do. No envie really.. I don’t like using busses. And they’re the only available transportation in Espoo.

Apparently Jaz’s exams aren’t going that well. But it’s understandable. She has missed 5 weeks of school.. Besides, she’s still got the whole spring term to make up for it. I know she can do it. If I had 5 échecs one Christmas and then in the spring none, she can get the three echecs she has now made up for later..

Why am I such a worrywart? My shift didn’t start until 4.. but I still left the house at 2:30. I was at the mall by 3.. So I spent an hour wandering around stores looking for possible Christmas presents. Possible gifts found for others = 3 Things I wanted to buy for myself = a few.. like this really really nice diary I saw in Tiimari. Cost 10,90 € I think. It’s got this brown cover and a drawing by Leonardo da Vinci and I like the texture of it. But I’m getting sidetracked here.. Things bought in total = 0 I did check my balance today though. I have gotten at least some of the pay I should get. I haven’t compared it yet to my own list of shifts that I’ve done. But now I’ve got a little over 500 € in my account. ^_^ Then on my way back from work, I had to change busses at Tapiola. It was so weird being there again. And when they began playing BSB’s “We’ve Got It Going On” on the radio.. total flashback to 1996. Freaky.. o.O

Hmm.. maybe I should call Extra tomorrow and see if there’s a Sunday shift available. Since Jazzy won’t be coming in until 11 pm, I could work during the day.. Maybe I should take a day off at some point though. Nah.. I’ll do that when Gubby gets here. ^_^

Okay. Maybe I’m just too tired to actually be up this late and just don’t realize it, but I’m feeling kinda hyper. Like I wanna do something to get rid of all of this energy but I have no idea what.

Why do I always get the people who buy condoms? I’ve asked other kassa people and all of them say that they’ve never had any.. hmm.. the funniest one was when this guy around 70 wanted a 10-pack. Kinda hard keeping a poker face with that one.. ^_^;;
