I now know where I’ll be staying in Brussels. Not too far from the last place I was at. And it’s still a walking distance from VF. My next step is to find the closest grocery store. Preferably a Carrefour since we’ve got the Happy Days card. Plus, I like Carrefour the most. It sorta reminds me of Target, but with a food section. Nicer than Wal-Mart. Not that there are any Targets or Wal-Marts in Belgium. If I remember correctly there’s Carrefour, Delhaize, GB Supermarkt (or something like that), Match…

The other news that I’m really happy about is they’ve sent my application to Aberystwyth and Huddersfield. Now I’ve just gotta wait for a response from them, then use UCASextra if neither of those work out.. I don’t know why, but the fact that both unis have my application now really makes me happy. ^__^

Have read “Lasher”. Won’t have the time to read “Taltos” before I leave (only 2-3 nights to go ;_;) so I’ve started on one of the three books I got for 80p. I was really delighted to actually get three books for less than a pound. It’s like, wow. The one I’m reading right now is called “Size Matters” by Judy Astley. It’s got some funny bits in it, but as a whole it’s not that good. Worth the 30p I paid for it though. But not the retail price of £6.99.

I really hope that we’ll get Internet access ASAP in Brussels. I’ll go nutty without it. Nothing to do during the day with Jaz at school. I guess I could go out grocery shopping (not that much fun by myself) or jogging (get bored with it after like 2 weeks). I will start exercizing more though. Like walk to school with Jaz every morning. Or back “home” in the afternoons. Hell, if I’m really bored I’ll do both.

The fire alarm went off again 3hrs ago. So we decided that we might as well spend the time waiting outside for the fire brigade to tell us it’s okay to go back in buying crisps/chips (choose which one makes more sense to you). Geez, I’ve started using English words. Like chips instead of fries. Crisps, not chips. Duvet, not comforter. Fire brigade, not firefighters/dudes from the fire department. O__O Anyway, the reason why I was talking about the fire alarm was that Oliver said something about going back into the room, only instead of saying “his room”, he said “our”. Well, I guess that’s what spending a month together (24/7!!) will do to ya.. While we were having lunch with Anji, Oliver pointed out that I’m slowly spreading my things around the world. I’ve got stuff in Belgium, Finland, Florida(doubt that there’s much left of it though) and now in Sheffield. Sorta letting people know that I’ll be coming back. XD

I like spring. It’s nice seeing the leaves slowly appear on the trees again. And the white/pink blossoms on other trees.. everything’s slowly waking up again. But it can’t beat summer. Summer is the best. Spring and autumn are tied in for second and winter is in last place. I really really dislike winter. If it’s got snow and below freezing temperatures that is. If it stays at like +3 or so, then it’s tolerable.

Meeting up with Piia tomorrow. Been ages since I last saw her. Anyhoo, we’re going shopping. Something us girlies like to do. Oliver is coming along and hopefully we’ll help him find a present for his mom..

I like ice cream. But right now.. too full to have any. The really cool thing was that you could get two pints of Ben&Jerry’s for just £5. Usually it’s £3.99 for one. Too bad they didn’t have Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. So now I’ve got a pint of Phish Food and a pint of Caramel Chew Chew instead. Oooooooooh the calories. Don’t care though. Won’t get to eat B&J ice cream when I go back. All I’ll buy is healthy stuff. At least I’ll try to. Possibly some of the non-brand name ice cream if Jaz wants.. but B&J, nuh-uh.

“Lasher” is a really good book. So was “The Witching Hour”. Can’t wait to read the rest of them.. probably gonna try to read “Interview with a Vampire”. I’ve started it three times, but it’s just sooooooo boring. Didn’t even finish the movie because it was so dull. Cruise and Pitt did keep me entertained for awhile, but.. meh..

Time to play Civ3! It’s such a power trip. Just like Sims…

..they haven’t been developed yet. Because there’s still some left on the roll. Anyway, pics of IVDC and other places/people I’ve been to/seen. So when I get to Brussels, I’ll get them developed.

I’ll be leaving in about a week. Don’t really want to. Although going back there does have its plusses. Like getting to see some of my friends again. And actually using French. Going shopping in Carrefour can always be fun. And then there’s the attention.. ^_~ I’m an attention junkie. It’s very addictive. ^^;

Going over to Anji’s later. I like hanging out at the pub with them. Social contacts are good.. I do like being by myself, having peace and quiet and all that, but hanging out with others is a refreshing change.

Mom’ll prolly call me tomorrow. Tell me when exactly I should go back. Gonna try to negotiate it to at least the 9th. Silly me left some of my things in Sheffield and they’re clothes I’d need in Belgium. Plus I’d like the stuffed animals I got from Pleasure Beach.

I’ve finally gotten used to wearing heels. Feet don’t hurt that much anymore in them. That doesn’t change the fact that I still need to buy new sneaks. The ones I have now are practically all worn out. They’ve lasted for about a year. Which is pretty good considering their cost. Not as cheap as the heels I found at a flea market (2€!!). Not very comfortable shoes, but worth the 2€. ^-^

Hmm..okay.. I didn’t get into Reading either. What to do, what to do.. Probably should contact them, ask why and see if there’s something I can do that might make them want to accept me. Should look for other unis as well I guess. And send in my application to FSU so I’d start in January. Meh. Annoying. But I won’t let this affect my stay here. It’s just a minor set back. >.

This thing erased my post! No it’s not LJ’s fault since I wasn’t even connected onto the Internet.. I had just spent 45 minutes typing on WordPad my real post for today and when I wanted to save it just in case LJ decides to eat my post what does this do? It loses it! For some inexplicable reason while it was saving my entry onto one of my diskettes, the whole computer just goes whack and the dreaded blue screen pops up telling me there’s something wrong and I might lose unsaved documents. >_< Then when I finally get this damn thing working again, to my joy I see that it has saved my entry onto the diskette. But.. dumdedum.. when I open it, it’s gibberish. And I have no idea if it can be put back into the format which I can understand. Sooooo annoyed right now.

Strange thing though. Whenever I’m around technical stuff like computers or cell phones or something, they begin acting up. Just my presence warrants it.. take for instance my cell phone, just out of the blue it shuts itself down and turns back on again. The only times I notice it are when I’m listening to the radio on it and suddenly the music is turned off. o_O Maybe the spirits around me noticed that I was talking about them in the first post. All I did was mention this cool looking Egyptian belief based game about tuning into one’s sixth sense and then my experiences with paranormal things (like shadow ppl in Putdael) and wham! Comp goes beserk. Coincidence? ^^;;

Anyway.. spent the whole day in the storage apartment (yes, we have one of those..) stacking banana boxes after I got back from the library. Didn’t hear my phone ring.. ‘Twas Gubby. Wonder what he wanted.. too bad we didn’t get to talk today. But at least I’ll get to see him the day after tomorrow. Only about 50 hrs to go. ^__^ While I was working, I felt like one of those miniature ballerinas “dancing” to music in a wind-up jewelry boxes. Y’see, I was standing on a chair so I could put more boxes on top of each other and take some half full ones down. But since it’s pretty cramped in there I could only turn in one direction.. was actually fun though. Got to see the result of two days worth of packing and stacking boxes. The entrance to the apartment is now almost completely empty and in the living room bit there’s actually space to walk in! Before it was jumping from one spot to another. ^-^

One word of advice to you all. Please don’t interrupt me while I’m calculating stuff, going over receipts, checking my paychecks or anything like that. It makes me lose my place and I’ll have to start all over again. Which is exactly what happened while I was arranging my papers earlier tonight. Inga saw me do it and then came over to hug me (erm, why?) and began telling me about what Ellu did when she was considering marrying Tom (had to scrimp on the toilet paper yet? XP). Luckily I was setting up instead of already counting stuff so I didn’t have to concentrate that much.. The thing that’s weird is that they haven’t been as annoying as usual. Or maybe I just haven’t let them get under my skin since I know that I’ll be out of here very very soon. Just not soon enough. My uncle’s pretty bearable too. Totally weird. o_O

“Mile High” is on in a few minutes so I guess I’ll leave it at this.. find something else to kill the time. The hours just won’t go as fast as I’d like them to! sniffle

He’s officially 26 minutes late. I think he overslept. o_O But still, while I wait here are more memes!

Lj is acting up again. Had a nice little post all bright and cheery about how well my day had gone and poof, Mozilla freezes up and voilà. No post. Ah well, I’m in such a good mood that I doesn’t matter. I will say this, nothing is a better cure than waffles, a good cry and a bouncy conductor. ^-^

Still feeling kinda funky.. I really don’t like being in this kind of state where just the slightest thing makes me want to cry. Need to get rid of this before work starts. Just in case there’s another customer who’s feeling agressive for some reason and takes it out on me. Tim is a good friend. Really helped talking to him last night. Made somethings a bit clearer. Didn’t get rid of all of the weird feelings I was having, but still..

“Sabrina” is a good remedy though. Just watching the romance unfold between Humphrey Bogart and Audrey Hepburn makes me so happy. The whole movie is really funny too. Prefer this one over the newer version. There is no way Harrison Ford can ever compare to Humphrey Bogart. There is just something about that man. “Casablanca” is a wonderful movie too. happy sigh How I love old movies. The story, the stars.. it is just soo.. wonderful. Captivating. Then after work today Teresa and I have made plans to watch “Cyrano de Bergerac”. All in French with no subtitles. Should be fun. I saw some of it last night, but I wanna see the whole movie.

Seeing Daddy tomorrow. Gonna get my hair cut. ^-^ Not too much but just enough to get rid of the split ends. It’s been ages since someone’s done something to my hair. It’s therapeutic getting your hair done in a salon. The whole hair washing that comes with a mini-massage, the revitalizing treatments, the brushing.. makes me feel nice. One product that really works like it says it would (and that I love) is Pantene Pro-V’s Volumizing conditioner. Each time I’ve used it, it’s made my hair go oomph. :D

Urgh.. Why do they keep sending me msgs when I’ve told them that I’ve got a shift today and I won’t be taking any more? Can’t they see that I’ve put a block into my calendar?

Well.. dunno where to start really. Too many things to say. Lots of emotions all jumbled together.. guilt, hurt, happiness.. Meh. I’ll just leave it at that. Sort it out in my tangible diary. Somehow easier.
